HOSA Students Help Maintain a Safe and Healthy WHS

Three student leaders with HOSA (Future Healthcare Leaders of America) are helping maintain safe and healthy environments right here at Wenatchee High School. These ladies volunteered their time after school to replace filters, clean screens, and disinfect 41 air purifiers to tackle smoky classroom air.
With aging HVAC systems and persistent wildfire seasons, smoky conditions at WHS have become a tough new normal that impacts students’ health and learning. This work is crucial—and often goes unnoticed. Thank you to Ingrid, Nellie, and Vivian for your hard work to keep our school healthy!
On Nov 3, Wenatchee voters will decide the future of WHS by voting on a bond to modernize infrastructure and replace HVAC systems at seven additional schools. For more information about what’s on the ballot, visit the Wenatchee School District website.
