American Sign Language (ASL)

Learn the basics of ASL, its history, and participate in projects and activities that prepare students for a future working with the language and the Deaf community

Child Development & Education

Gives students hands-on experiences in the early childhood and education career fields. Students can practice skills onsite with elementary and preschool children alongside local businesses

Culinary Arts

Learn the importance of nutrition and how to prepare a variety of dishes while studying techniques, methods, and cuisine from our world

Fashion & Interior Design

Create works of art in apparel, homes, and businesses, and learn how to create a product, from design and material selection to prototype and final production.

Family & Consumer Science Program

If your career aspirations include helping others, being creative, and working with your hands, then the WHS Family & Consumer Science Program might be the right fit for you! Practical instruction is the foundation of many classes in the FCS program, giving students the opportunity to hone their skills alongside industry professionals, whether it be in the kitchen, the classroom, or somewhere else entirely.

Student Organization: FCCLA

The WHS chapter of the Family, Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a group that provides students with accelerated academic experience for careers that support families. These students make a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing personal, work, and societal issues through Family & Consumer Sciences education.
