ASVAB

Open to students in grades 10-12, the ASVAB is an exam measuring student career aptitude.

AP Exams

Students enrolled in AP classes who wish to receive college credit must participate in AP testing. These students will work with their teacher to join their AP course in the myAP app AND register/pay at the ASB office by these deadlines.

PSAT

The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) prepares students to take the SAT and can qualify students for several scholarships, including the National Merit Scholarship Program.

SBA

The Smarter Balanced ELA and Math assessments are completed annually by 10th-grade students during their scheduled ELA and Math classes.

STAMP

STAMP tests student proficiency in any of 50+ available languages, including Spanish and Ukrainian. Students who complete the STAMP test can earn credentials like the Seal of Biliteracy.

WCAS

The Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS) is taken annually by 11th-graders and measures student proficiency in Washington State K-12 Science Learning Standards.

WIDA

The WIDA exam tests students who are English Language Learners (ELL) on their English Language Proficiency.

AP EXAM INFORMATION

Students enrolled in AP classes who wish to receive college credit must participate in AP testing; however, AP classes are just one of the ways students can take advanced courses at WHS. Taking the Advanced Placement exam in May is always optional. Students must join their AP course in the myAP app AND register and pay at the ASB office by these deadlines. 

 

DEADLINES FOR AP EXAM REGISTRATION:

  • Full Year and 1st semester AP courses: November 2026
  • AP courses that are ONLY 2nd semester: March 2027

Standard Exam Fee $105
Late Registration Exam Fee $145

*Lower fees are available for students who qualify for free/reduced lunch. Speak with your counselor to see if you qualify. 

 

SAT & ACT INFORMATION

Note: WHS does not currently offer SAT or ACT testing, and there are currently no testing centers in Wenatchee offering the SAT. You can see current SAT dates and locations by using the link below to register. 

Fee waivers may be available for qualifying students. Please contact your counselor to see if you qualify for a waiver.
